Around 260 exhibitors from 30 countries are presenting over 130 world and European premieres at the
78th Auto Salon in Geneva from 6 - 16 March. They include the Infiniti that will launch in Europe at the
end of 2008. Main emphasis of the show: technologies for reducing CO2 emissions. The particularly economical BlueEFFICIENCY models in the C-Class and the new SL-Roadster are celebrating their world premieres on the Mercedes -Benz stand under the motto "The Culture of Driving". THE ARRIVAL: We left for the Frankfurt Motor Show on the BA flight to London, and arrived in to Frankfurt, around 3pm the next day. Taking a four-year-old Mercedes-Benz diesel E-Class taxi, I told the driver I’d give him 50 euro if he got us to Koblenz quickly so is not to be late for the welcome dinner. About 30 minutes from the airport, the traffic starting thinning out, and the E 270 CDI, with over 300,000 miles on the clock, was slicing along comfortably at 120 miles per hour on the autobahn….

Peter van der Bol of Autohaus was in Spain a few weeks ago for the International launch of the Porsche 911 C4S Coupe and Cabrio, and the new Cayman S. These prestigious events are reserved only for the Dealers, and traditionally are incredibly well done and with no expense spared. The best part of the Porsche Dealer launches and events, is there always seems to be a race track or a reserved road course nearby. Lots of driving !!

Autohaus Ltd., Cayman's official Mercedes-Benz and Porsche dealer, will be adding a touch of class to the 2006 Texaco International Auto Show on 21st of January at the Lions Centre. Their line up includes the latest 2006 Mercedes-Benz models like the R 350 which is the 6 seater Grand Sport Tourer. This new vehicle has DVD entertainment built in, and the entire roof is glass. Also featured will be the groundbreaking 2006 ML 350 SUV; the Dynamic 2006 C 230 four-door sedan with the new V-6 engine, and the SLK 200 Roadster with folding hardtop. Come on by the Show, it promises to be a lot of fun.
